Staying Committed To Your Internet Based Home Business
If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again. We have all heard this famous quote and I know we have all thought, yeah right, but I am going down in flames and I need this business to work. I want to offer you encouragement and say, don’t give up. I’ve come up with some additional thoughts that will help keep everything in perspective for you as you head down this path to owning and operating your own internet based home business:
THIS IS A MARATHON, NOT A SPRINT
Too often I encounter people who just do not give their seeds enough time to grow. For an investment to yield fruit, it just takes time. Making money, especially making money on the internet from home, can take a significant amount of time. Sometimes it takes years of building just to get those first few repeat clients, or find a product that really sells for you. Of course there are exceptions, and some people will “strike internet oil” right off the bat and retire early into a life of luxury. This has not been how it has happened for me, but that does not mean it can’t happen for you. If you start to have trouble along the way, consider bringing on a partner to help shoulder some of the burden. Maybe even multiple partners. One of the best ways to get what you want out of life, is to help others get what they want too.
FAILURE IS THE BEST WAY TO LEARN
I’ve heard the story that it took Thomas Edison almost 1,000 tries before inventing the incandescent light bulb. As the legend goes, when he was asked what it was like to fail that many times before being successful he responded, “I didn’t fail 1,000 times, I found 1,000 ways not to make a light bulb.” Perspective is everything, so don’t get discouraged. If one idea doesn’t work out, then try something new. There are opportunities out there, so go and find them.
