When I first started to build websites it is fair to say I really did not have much of a clue about what I was doing. What I really needed at the time was a mentor – someone who would guide me and stop me making mistakes and wasting lots of precious time.
It really is not easy to find people like this, you can go on forums and try find people who write answers that seem to make sense and that are genuine, then you can follow them or even write to them using private messages. If you are lucky they may help you further but most likely they will be too busy.
Remember that if someone is successfully making money on the Internet then they will want to spend most of their time focusing on their business, not on helping you. So really you just have to face the fact that you should get in the field, get out there and try things and by experimenting, through trial and error you will learn what works and what does not.
I had to go through this process myself and by lots of hard work and a refusal to give up I have now turned my passion into a full-time business. One thing that did help was that I attended some Internet marketing courses and at these events, which are usually quite expensive, you do meet lots of willing people who take the time to help.
The best part was the breaks when I would walk up to the guest speakers and really pick their brains. Seeing these ordinary people making great sums really gave me the motivation to keep going just when I was thinking of quitting.
Another thing that really helped me turn the corner was joining a training program which taught me all aspects of making money on the Internet. Believe it or not I joined this course four years after I first started on the Internet.
The reason for this was I came across some free videos that showed me a new concept and I could immediately understand it was a clever way that would definitely work. It was simple and I knew that concentrating my efforts on one way of making money made more sense than trying lots of different ideas and getting lost by getting overloaded.
I did some research into the people behind the novel niche website ideas and I did some research on the Internet to reassure me that the people behind the course were genuine. I found a good hubpage about niche profit classroom which is a respected website and I also found a review site which had a collection of reviews from members of the Niche Profit Classroom training course I intended to join.
I would certainly caution you against learning too much and never ever getting started. Take some action today and start your own Internet business just like I did.
